PWM-Security: Guard and Patrol (Supervise Security Officers)
About This Course
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Security Sector.
On completion of this unit, participants will have the knowledge and skills to effectively perform Supervise Security Officers and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace, which includes:
1. Study security operations procedures
2. Supervise direction of security Officers
3. Supervise Health and Safety at work
4. Supervise control of security officers
5. Supervise emergency situations
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
Learners should meet the basic entry requirements as indicated below:
1. Ability to read, write, speak, and listen to English at WPL Level 3.
2. Ability to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 3.
3. Education: Minimum Secondary 2 education.
4. Age: 21 and above
5. Experience in Security Industry: Senior security officers and security supervisors
6. At the ATO Admin/ Registration Counter:
• A checklist to be provided to Admin to ensure the learner requirements (above) are met
• To make recommendations on suitable courses if the individual does not meet the entry criteria
• Verification of authenticity can be done via checking on certificates
• Those that do not meet the entry requirement will be subjected to interview before acceptance
