The learning units are sequenced in a ‘Part-to-Part-to-Part’ approach to cover key points from topics such as legal and licensing requirements to operate security agency, agency’s rights and obligations as employer of security personnel, agency’s obligations to protect client’s intellectual property, legal implications in common premises where security personnel are deployed and security agency’s legal powers, rights and responsibilities at work, learners will next learn to apply the knowledge and skills to effectively manage security agency within the legal framework and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace, which includes:
1. Legal and licensing requirements to operate security agency
2. Agency’s rights and obligations as employer of security personnel
3. Agency’s obligations to protect client’s intellectual property
4. Legal implications in common premises where security personnel are deployed

Entry Requirements
Learners should meet the basic entry requirements as indicated below:
1. Ability to read, write, speak, and listen to English at WPL Level 5.
2. Ability to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 5.
3. Education: Minimum GCE N pass in English or equivalent
4. Age: 21 and above
5. Experience in Security Industry: At least 3 years working as a Senior Security Officers
6. At the TP Admin/ Registration Counter:
• A checklist to be provided to Admin to ensure the learner requirements (above) are met
• To make recommendations on suitable courses if the individual does not meet the entry criteria
• Verification of authenticity can be done via checking on certificates
