About This Course

This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Security Sector.

PLRD, Police Licensing and Regulatory Department is the authority on this Basic Training course for Security Agents, Security Officers and Senior management Officer and has directed that all Security officers are trained in providing guard and patrol services so as to be able to take over these core duties enforcement from the APO’s and State Police (SPF).

What You'll Learn

On completion of this Technical Skills & Competency (TSC) unit, Security Agents, Security Officer and Senior Management Officer will have the knowledge and abilities to Handle Security Incidents and Services and be able to apply them to their respective workplace. Officers will able to exercise and transfer their learning outcomes which acquired to individual job scope.

Entry Requirements

Learners should meet the basic entry requirements as indicated below:
1. Ability to read, write, speak and listen to English at WPL Level 4.
2. Ability to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4.
3. Education: Minimum Secondary 2 education.
4. Age: 18 and above.
5. Experience in Security Industry: N.A.
6. To fulfil PLRD (Police Licensing & Regulatory Department) licensing requirements for a full fledge
qualified Security Officer.
