About This Course

This course will provide the CERT in the Public and Industrial Buildings with valid petroleum and flammable material storage licence (> 5 metric tonnes) with the skills and knowledge required to effectively respond to fire incidents. Being competent in the course will enable the CERT members to meet the requirements under the National CERT Standard. It is a 3-day course with Breathing Apparatus (BA) training and practical components for high-risk installation buildings classified by SCDF.

What You'll Learn

This course aims to cover the person's skills and knowledge to function as a member of a Company Emergency Response Team to meet and respond to fire and Hazmat emergencies. Learners who need such competencies are operators, technicians, superintendents and managers working in the plants and workshops in the process industry or industrial buildings. Learners can acquire the required competencies to function as members of a Company Emergency Response Team to meet and respond to fire and Hazmat emergencies. The competencies include working alone and in a group.

Entry Requirements

• Received safety training related to a process plant
• Received training in wearing breathing apparatus(BA), search and rescue, casualty handling and fire command and control systems
• Participated in related training or work experience in a process plant
• Proficiency level 3
