Service Experience Design, an increasingly prominent field, emphasizes thoughtful experiences through a comprehensive and systematic approach. This interdisciplinary practice seeks to train individuals, whether from design or non-design backgrounds, to become Design Enablers for the future workforce.
What You'll Learn
1. an overview of translating Business Organisation goals and objectives for the marketplace.
2. the ability to perform naturalistic and participatory observation study methods to gain deep understanding of the customer behaviour and to develop deep understanding towards customers.
3. the knowledge and application of Design Thinking techniques and tactics in solving problems and providing solutions used by service designers today.
4. an overview of the User-Centric Design principles as part of the studio practice.
Entry Requirements
A diploma from a local Polytechnic, ITE, or other IHLs in any relevant disciplines.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on:
(i) Evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience; or
(ii) Supporting evidence of competency readiness.
Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test(s). The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
