Upon completion of Specialist Diploma in Nutrition Science, the participants will be able to:
• Demonstrate nutrition knowledge and skills in the food and nutrition industry, and able to integrate and apply them effectively.
• Communicate effectively on nutrition matters in the community.
What You'll Learn
The Specialist Diploma in Nutrition Science course aims to equip the food and nutrition professionals with the in-depth knowledge and skills in nutrition research methods, nutrition analysis, community nutrition & communication, as well as food labelling and requirements. The skills and attributes will allow them to contribute effectively in nutrition research & food product development, applied nutrition & food marketing in food science, and public health promotion.
The course is on a part-time basis, a total of 240 hours covering the followings PDCs:
1.Nutrition Research & Analytical Methods (120 hours)
2.Public Health Communication (120 hours)

Entry Requirements
The admission requirements are:
• Diploma from a local polytechnic, ITE, or other IHLs or equivalent in a related field, ie. food science, nutrition science or life sciences; with at least 6 months of relevant working experience in food or nutrition related field.
• Applicants who do not possess the minimum prerequisite educational qualifications but have substantial relevant working experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
