About This Course
The module Staff Training & Development (part of PDC3 of Advanced Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences) offers training duration of 45 hours. This module aims to Provide coaching and on-the-job training (M9).
What You'll Learn
Participants will undergo training as future preceptors so that they will be equipped with the necessary techniques to facilitate clinical and operational training, lead and facilitate group discussions and coordinate training programmes in the pharmacy setting. Participants will also be introduced to the basic concepts of supervisory management which include coaching and mentoring, and performance monitoring and appraisal skills.
Entry Requirements
The applicant must possess a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science(s)/ Pharmacy Science from a local polytechnic, ITE, or other IHLs.
For applicants who do not hold the aforementioned qualification, they must possess at least a diploma, passed the Certified Pharmacy Technician Course (CPTC) conducted by the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS) and have at least two (2) years of relevant working experience (i.e. working in a pharmacy as a pharmacy assistant / pharmacy technician).
