What You'll Learn

The course aims to equip participants with the skills to identify and address electrical hazards, respond to accidents, and manage security threats following established protocols and procedures. In addition, learners will develop the necessary skills to ensure comprehensive premise security and protect sensitive areas and information. Participants will learn to provide administrative and operational support for the smooth functioning of the Operations Control Centre (OCC). Participants will learn how to effectively implement evacuation procedures, use appropriate equipment, and provide support during emergency response exercises and drills. This course focuses on equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage rail incidents and implement service recovery actions.

Entry Requirements

- GCE 'O' level with minimum of 3 relevant passes and at least 1 year of relevant working experience; or
- Nitec with GPA ≥ 3.5; or
- Nitec GPA ≥ 3.0 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience; or
- Higher Nitec with GPA ≥ 2.0, or
- Higher Nitec GPA ≥ 1.5 and at least with 1 year of relevant work experience; or
- Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher), and at least 1 year of relevant working experience and Workplace Literary & Numeracy (WPLN) at Level ≥ 6; or
- At least 2 years relevant working experience (subject to interview/assessment).

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on supporting evidence of competency readiness.

Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test(s).
