About This Course
The Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Gerontology Nursing course will offer the following modules:

What You'll Learn
At the completion of the PDC, learners will be able to
(1) Provide appropriate nursing care for older adults in various specialised geriatric, community and general ward settings and home care services using appropriate nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team;
(2) Demonstrate competence in essential health assessment and geriatric assessment skills in various specialised geriatric, community and general ward settings and home care services following criteria specified in the competency assessment rubrics; and
(3) Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking in relation to client and clinical context.
(1) Provide appropriate nursing care for older adults in various specialised geriatric, community and general ward settings and home care services using appropriate nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team;
(2) Demonstrate competence in essential health assessment and geriatric assessment skills in various specialised geriatric, community and general ward settings and home care services following criteria specified in the competency assessment rubrics; and

Entry Requirements
Fifteen full-time Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Clinical Specialty)
• Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
• Singapore Nursing Board registration;
• 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
