About This Course
The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Oncology) course will offer the following modules:
(1) Advanced Oncology Nursing Clinical Practice 1 (200 hours)
(2) Advanced Oncology Nursing Clinical Practice 2 (200 hours)

What You'll Learn
At the completion of the PDC, learners will be able to:
(1) Provide appropriate nursing care for clients and their significant others in medical-oncology, haematology settings, ambulatory therapy unit and palliative care using nursing processes in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team;
(2) Demonstrate competence in essential oncology skills in various healthcare settings following criteria specified in the competency assessment rubrics;
(3) Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking in relation to client and clinical context; and
(4) Demonstrate effective communication with clients and their significant others and members of the multidisciplinary team using appropriate communication concepts and strategies.

Entry Requirements
• Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
• Singapore Nursing Board registration;
• 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
