The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Orthopaedics) course will offer the following modules:

(2) Non-traumatic Orthopaedic Disorders: Autoimmune, Degenerative, Metabolic and Neoplasm (60 hours)
(3) Spinal Disorders and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (60 hours)

What You'll Learn
At the completion of the PDC, learners will be able to:
(1) Apply evidence in orthopaedic nursing in the development of nursing practices using principles of evidence-based practice and appropriate appraisal framework;
(2) Plan for care of clients with non-traumatic orthopaedic disorders and clients undergoing orthopaedic procedures and surgeries using a systematic, comprehensive and focused approach; and
(3) Demonstrate competency in the requisite skills for clients with non-traumatic orthopaedic disorders and clients undergoing orthopaedic procedures and surgeries in orthopaedic setting according to evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Entry Requirements
• Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
• Singapore Nursing Board registration;
• 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
