About This Course
The Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Midwifery will offer the following modules:
1) Advanced Midwifery Clinical Practice 1(200 hours)
2) Advanced Midwifery Clinical Practice 2 (200 hours)
What You'll Learn
At the completion of the PDC, learners will be able to:
1) Provide appropriate midwifery care for women and newborns in antenatal/postnatal ward and delivery suite using appropriate midwifery assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team;
2) Demonstrate competence in essential midwifery skills following criteria specified in the competency assessment rubrics; and
3) Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking in relation to the care of women and newborns in clinical context.

Entry Requirements
• Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
• Singapore Nursing Board registration;
• 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
