About This Course
This course is equip cleaning professionals with the essential skills and knowledge to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of various horizontal surfaces safely and effectively
What You'll Learn
Learners will learn;
Prepare for cleaning activities
Remove debris and loose dust from hard floor surfaces and carpets
Remove spillage or stains from hard floor surfaces and carpets
Perform dust and damp mopping of hard floor surfaces
Reinstate the work area after cleaning is completed
Report discrepancies or issues observed at the workplace, in accordance with the National Environment Agency (NEA) guidelines and other industry standards
On completion of this module, participant will be equipped with the necessary and relevant knowledge and skill sets in safety and health procedures to be taken when clearing spillages and removing dirt and debris on hard floors
Entry Requirements
Pre-requisites
Candidates must be in proper dress code and adhere to the following when attending class:
Do not wear slippers
Do not wear accessories/jewelry
Do not wear nail polish or fake fingernails
Keep fingernails short and clean
Keep long hair tied back and in a tidy condition
The admission requirements are:
Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 1
Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 1
Never attended school; pre-primary / kindergarten education; primary education without PSLE / PSPE certification or equivalent.
Minimum of two months of work experience in the cleaning operations sector as a General Cleaner, Indoor Cleaner, Outdoor Cleaner, Healthcare Cleaner, Restroom Cleaner, Table-top Cleaner, Dishwasher or have completed similar module or
Fresh entrants into the industry.
