Furniture and Furnishing Maintenance Level 1
About This Course
This course equips cleaning professionals with the essential skills and knowledge to safely and effectively maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of various types of furniture and furnishings, including dust, debris, soilage, and spillage removal, as well as polishing and reinstating the work area.
What You'll Learn
Learners will learn;
Preparation for cleaning activities
Performing cleaning and/or polishing
Replenishing supplies and reinstating work areas
Inspection and reporting
Upon completion of the course learners would be able to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of furniture and furnishing in a safe manner at Level 1.
Entry Requirements
Pre-requisites
Candidates must be in proper dress code and adhere to the following when attending class:
Do not wear slippers
Do not wear accessories/jewelry
Do not wear nail polish or fake fingernails
Keep fingernails short and clean
Keep long hair tied back and in a tidy condition
The admission requirements are:
Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 1
Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 1
Never attended school; pre-primary / kindergarten education; primary education without PSLE / PSPE certification or equivalent.
Minimum of two months of work experience in the cleaning operations sector as a General Cleaner, Indoor Cleaner, Outdoor Cleaner, Healthcare Cleaner, Restroom Cleaner, Table-top Cleaner, Dishwasher or have completed similar module or
