SERVICE EXCELLENCE LEVEL 2
About This Course
This competency-based service excellence training for frontline workers and supervisors in the tourism sector is designed to build the specific abilities and knowledge required to deliver high-quality, consistent customer service. Based on clearly defined ability statements such as demonstrating professionalism, communicating effectively, recognising diverse customer needs, and escalating service feedback, the program ensures that learners acquire practical, job-relevant skills.
The training is grounded in essential knowledge areas, including types of customers, customer expectations, principles of communication, and methods for projecting a professional image. Using interactive approaches such as role-plays, case discussions, and simulations, learners practice adapting service delivery to various customer types, applying verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, and going the extra mile to exceed expectations.
Learners are also guided on how their personal conduct impacts organisational image and how to manage service recovery processes effectively. By the end of the training, frontline staff and supervisors are equipped to handle real-world service challenges confidently, enhance customer satisfaction, and support Singapore’s reputation as a world-class tourism destination. This competency-based approach ensures that learning is practical, measurable, and directly aligned with performance expectations in the tourism industry.
