(IBM) Deep Learning for Computer Vision & AI Applications
About This Course
This course introduces participants to the core principles and practical application of vision systems and video analytics.
The curriculum begins with the concepts of vision system architecture and methods for analysing image features using statistical and geometrical techniques. Learners will then progress to distinguish local feature descriptions and apply these to implement feature extraction methods. The course connects these techniques to real-world scenarios by examining business applications and design constraints for industrial vision systems.
Furthermore, the course provides practical experience in designing and utilising video analytics algorithms for high-level tasks and analysing vision communication protocols to design and develop edge- and cloud-based systems. It concludes with the ability to implement basic image and video processing principles and apply foundational deep learning concepts to methods for object detection, tracking, and recognition.
