Solar PV Market Fundamentals
About This Course
Singapore has taken steps to move away from reliance on fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. Solar PV is one of four key switches identified by the Energy Market Authority as part of Singapore’s energy transition. This course aims to provide an engaging platform to introduce solar and demystify solar solutions.
Participants will gain an understanding on factors encouraging the shift towards solar, and incentives for adoption of Solar. They will be introduced to how a photovoltaic system works, components of a Photovoltaic system and determine their energy needs. Following which they will estimate the price of a photovoltaic system based on its components. Participants also understand the various adoption models and select a model appropriate for their consumption.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to explain the economic trends supporting solar photovoltaic growth; recognise the major components and determine pricing of a photovoltaic system, and how to select an appropriate operating model.
What You'll Learn
- Explain the trends for solar energy adoption in Singapore
- Describe board components of a photovoltaic system and their associated costs
- Explain different adoption models and select the most applicable model for their needs
