About This Course

The "Workplace Literacy (Conversational) - Beginner" course is designed to help learners apply basic English conversational skills in real workplace environments. Over 45 hours, this course aims to develop learners into self-regulated individuals equipped with lifelong learning skills through self-directed learning, peer-review, collaboration, communication, and application to real project tasks. Participants will start by mastering basic greetings and introductions and progress to more specific topics such as making telephone calls, discussing hobbies, and talking about their job and family. The course covers practical communication scenarios such as giving directions, discussing time and routine, making appointments and reservations, and talking about prices and goods. Learners will also practice conversations about food, workplace safety, transport, places, body, and health.
