Mobile Photo Editing with Lightroom & Creative Apps
About This Course
Capturing a strong image is only half the process. Refinement defines professionalism. This course covers professional-grade mobile post-processing in Lightroom Mobile that takes photographs from well taken to publication-ready, entirely on a mobile device.Trainees develop a structured Lightroom Mobile workflow that produces consistent, repeatable results across an entire photo series: the full basic panel applied with sequence and restraint, the tone curve for tonal sculpting, HSL for targeted colour control, masking for selective local corrections, lens correction, preset creation for workflow efficiency, and batch syncing to keep a series visually consistent.
The deeper skill the course builds is creative storytelling. A photo series is a creative medium, and trainees learn to use it to convey stories, ideas or concepts in a compelling and engaging manner. Corrections follow the photographic intention of each image rather than a generic technical standard, and in the capstone each trainee develops a 15-image series with a deliberate visual identity, defining mood, colour direction, and tonal atmosphere, then selecting and sequencing images so the finished series tells its story compellingly and engages its intended audience. It is creative storytelling practised through a visual medium, one treatment decision at a time.
The course culminates in preparing the polished series for professional publication, with separate export settings for social media, editorial submission, and client delivery. It is standalone and camera-agnostic; all exercises work equally well with smartphone, mirrorless, or DSLR images. Trainees leave with a complete professional mobile workflow, a personal preset library, and a publication-ready series built on creative storytelling.

- Apply photography principles to treatment decisions, correcting toward the photographic intention of each image rather than a technical norm
- Use the tone curve, including point curve and region curve, for tonal control beyond the basic panel
- Apply HSL colour targeting to adjust specific colour ranges without affecting the rest of the image
- Apply masking and selective adjustments, including gradient, radial, subject, sky, and brush masks, for local corrections
- Apply lens correction and composition refinement in post, including distortion, fringing, cropping, and perspective transform
- Build and manage a personal preset library and apply batch syncing to maintain a consistent visual treatment across a series
- Apply creative storytelling, conveying stories, ideas or concepts in a compelling and engaging manner through the creative medium of a consistently treated 15-image photo series with a deliberate visual identity
