About This Course

Sales is not luck. It is the disciplined application of customer understanding, product positioning, and closing technique, executed across the full customer acquisition cycle. Most professionals entering sales roles rely on personality and product knowledge rather than method, which produces inconsistent performance, missed close opportunities, and customers who do not return after the first purchase. This course replaces instinct with structure.

The ABC of Sales builds the foundational customer acquisition management discipline that underpins every retail, B2C, and B2B sales role. Trainees learn to develop customer acquisition strategies and foster the relationships that attract and retain customers: prospecting and qualifying potential customers within the acquisition cycle, engaging them and interpreting their motivations and behaviours, positioning products and services that match observed needs and differentiate against competitor offerings, recognising buying signals and closing confidently using techniques matched to the customer's behaviour, and sustaining customer relationships post-sale through structured follow-up and referral generation that fuels the next round of acquisition.

The course is designed for both new and experienced sales professionals across retail walk-in, B2C outreach, and B2B contexts. It is structured around hands-on role plays, case studies, and live customer interaction simulations, so that by the end of the two days trainees can sell with confidence, close with method, and build the customer base that drives repeat acquisition rather than one-time sales.

What You'll Learn

By the end of the course, trainees will be able to:
- Identify prospective customers across retail walk-in, B2C outreach, and B2B contexts, and apply qualification frameworks to prioritise sales effort within the customer acquisition cycle
- Develop customer acquisition strategies that attract and engage customers at first contact, interpreting their functional and emotional motivations and behavioural cues
- Position products against customer needs and differentiate from competitor offerings using structured frameworks
- Reinforce product value when responding to objections, using disciplined sequences rather than reactive discounting
- Recognise buying signals and apply appropriate closing techniques matched to the customer's behaviour
- Design and execute a post-sale follow-up sequence that confirms the purchase decision and prevents buyer's remorse
- Foster customer relationships that generate repeat purchases and referrals through structured post-sale engagement, fuelling the next round of acquisition
