Business Strategy and Business Development Essentials
About This Course
Building a business is less about the idea and more about the discipline to execute a strategy consistently, correct it honestly, and sustain it through the friction of commercial reality. This course builds that discipline for business owners, managers, and teams.
You will learn to map what your strategy actually requires against the resources and capabilities your organisation actually has, turning a vague plan into a clear set of business requirements across capital, talent, systems, and time. By mapping these requirements early, you identify the gaps that quietly derail execution before they become failures.
From there the focus shifts to business improvement. You will analyse market conditions, financial indicators, risk exposure, and performance data, then use that evidence to drive practical improvements to how the business runs. You will design operational action plans that account for risk, maintain structured risk profiles for the functions that decide whether the venture survives, and propose evidence-based refinements and improvements when the performance data calls for them. The emphasis throughout is disciplined implementation: the specific analytical habits of resource and requirements mapping, market analysis, financial review, and risk profiling that let you know at any moment whether the strategy is working or needs to change.
By the end, you will be able to map business requirements to a workable plan, maintain oversight of critical business functions, and continuously improve the business with refinements grounded in real performance evidence.
