ACSS: Working with Persons with Disabilities
About This Course
This module prepares aspiring professionals to competently support Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their families in agencies, community, and institutional settings. The module builds knowledge, practical skills, and empathetic attitudes essential for inclusive and person-centred care and support. Learners will explore the types, prevalence, and characteristics of disabilities, along with the challenges and needs faced by PWDs and their families.
The module also introduces the network of disability-related services in Singapore, enabling timely referrals and coordinated care through appropriate agencies.
