Advanced Smartphone Photography for Business and Marketing
About This Course
Developing the discipline to shoot with creative intention every time, not just when conditions are perfect.
This course pushes smartphone photography toward advanced professional execution. Trainees master full manual exposure control using Pro mode or a professional camera app, deepen lens strategy into active multi-lens sequencing, and take control of light: setting up, operating, and shaping its direction, quality, and intensity across frontal, side, and back light, open shade, reflectors, and golden hour for a specific creative effect. Alongside this, trainees develop a more demanding compositional vocabulary covering layering, perspective, and visual tension, applied to the business, brand, and marketing imagery their professional work requires.
The course centres on narrative design: designing narrative elements so a visual story unfolds across a sequence, developing content flow, aligning each image with the story progression, and shaping pacing and stylistic identity to create an engaging audience experience. It culminates in a curated 10-image editorial series built to a business or marketing brief, in which trainees apply narrative design to construct a cohesive visual narrative, with intermediate Lightroom Mobile editing sustaining a consistent treatment across the set.
By the end of the course, trainees will be able to compose, expose, light, and edit with deliberate creative intention, and design narrative elements that develop content flow and align with story progression across an editorial series that meets the standard expected in professional business and marketing content.
