Build your first AI agent
About This Course
Modern AI agent training has evolved significantly from complex, code-based development to intuitive drag-and-drop visual builders and low-code orchestrators. Many of these tools are now open source, giving users full transparency into how their agents work and the freedom to customise, self-host, and share them without vendor lock-in or licensing costs. This allows users to create an AI agent without much coding knowledge.
In this course, learners will build their own AI assistants using open-source, no-code platforms. Through guided activities, they will learn how to create assistants that support everyday workplace tasks such as drafting emails, summarising documents, generating explanations, and organising information.
Learners will progressively design simple multi-step instructions, refine outputs through iteration, and attach reference files to improve accuracy and consistency. By the end of the course, learners will be able to design and share open-source AI assistants that enhance personal productivity and efficiency.
What You'll Learn
1) Design AI assistants using plain-English instructions that support real workplace scenarios, including communication, summarisation, and information organisation.
2) Build and refine AI assistants through iterative testing, adjusting prompts and reference materials to improve clarity, accuracy, and usefulness.
3) Attach and manage reference files (e.g., PDFs, documents, guidelines) to provide assistants with context for generating more relevant outputs.
4) Evaluate tasks that could benefit from AI assistance, and apply basic troubleshooting techniques to improve outputs without needing any programming knowledge.
