About This Course
This course equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to implement data analytics and business intelligence practices within an organisation using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI. Organisations today generate significant volumes of structured and unstructured data from enterprise systems, online platforms and business applications. The ability to transform raw data into meaningful information and actionable insights has become an essential capability for employees across all sectors.
Learners will be introduced to the principles of data analytics, data modelling and data visualisation, and learn how to prepare, transform and analyse datasets using industry-recognised tools and techniques. The course covers data extraction from multiple sources, data cleansing, statistical analysis, data mining concepts and the application of business intelligence tools to identify patterns, trends and relationships in business data.
Through practical exercises and real-world business scenarios, learners will develop the ability to create interactive dashboards and reports that support evidence-based decision making. They will also learn how to communicate business insights effectively through visualisations and performance dashboards.
Upon completion, learners will be able to perform data transformation and analysis, generate business insights from datasets, and develop dashboards that support organisational reporting and decision-making requirements. The skills acquired are applicable across functions such as finance, operations, sales, marketing, human resources and management reporting.
