WordPress Website & Landing Page Creation
About This Course
A business website is a working asset: it represents the brand around the clock, converts visitors into enquiries and customers, and depends on deliberate design and disciplined upkeep to keep doing both. This hands-on course develops the ability to create, design, and manage a professional WordPress website from scratch.
This course begins with how websites work: domains, hosting, and performance specifications, then moves through installing and configuring WordPress with the themes, page builders, and plugins that support performance, security, and ongoing maintenance. Trainees build the essential business pages and write the engaging page content that presents a business clearly, then design landing page wireframes and compose landing page copy that conveys the design story in a compelling and engaging manner through writing.
It then builds website performance management capability: benchmarking and improving page loading speed, identifying and resolving plugin and theme conflicts, running pre-launch and troubleshooting checks, protecting the site with security, firewall, and backup measures as an ongoing maintenance routine, and documenting performance outcomes and improvements. It closes with design documentation: composing the documentation that conveys the website's design components, settings, and maintenance routine so the site can be managed in-house or by an outsourced team.
An individual demo domain and web hosting account are provided so every trainee practises on a real website throughout. By the end of the course, trainees will be able to design and build a professional WordPress website, write the page and landing page copy that carries its design story, and manage its performance, security, and upkeep with confidence.
