Management Leadership and Organisational Design
About This Course
Every founder eventually faces the same problem. The team and systems that got the venture to ten people stop working at twenty. What got it to a million in revenue becomes the constraint at five million. The organisational design that worked when everyone reported to the founder collapses the moment the business needs managers, processes, and governance.
Growth exposes structural weaknesses. The founders who scale successfully are not those with better products or bigger markets; they are those who recognised that the organisation itself needed to be designed, not just managed, and who had the discipline to do that redesign before it became an emergency.
This course builds the capability to develop and facilitate the implementation of organisational design end to end. Trainees learn to analyse current structures, systems, and processes honestly, identify the issues limiting a venture's ability to grow, and develop scalable operating models that clarify accountability, enable decisions at the right level, and align teams with strategic objectives. Trainees then learn to formulate and lead the implementation of organisational design: explaining changes to work processes and structures to employees with clarity, assessing the impact of design decisions on stakeholders and labour policies, applying best practices in organisational design implementation, and building the measurement mechanisms and ongoing refinements that ensure the redesigned organisation remains effective and aligned with stakeholders' priorities.
By the end of the course, trainees will be able to transition from founder operator to founder leader, building the organisational infrastructure that allows the business to grow beyond the founder's personal bandwidth.
