Business Storytelling and Stakeholder Engagement
About This Course
Effective stakeholder management is not about knowing the right people. It is about knowing how to identify who matters, understand what they need, and develop the right content to communicate with them in a way that builds confidence, coordinates action, and reflects the organisation's position clearly.
This course equips trainees with foundational stakeholder management skills grounded in content strategy and development. Trainees learn to identify key stakeholders and map their relationships, then develop a content strategy and create story-driven communication content tailored to each stakeholder group. They plan content, brainstorm and ideate the right content format for each audience and channel, and utilise writing strategies and a structured storytelling framework to develop persuasive narrative content that maximises audience engagement, aligned to its audience, purpose, and the organisation's objectives.
The course also develops conflict management capability in stakeholder relationships. Trainees practise handling challenging and difficult queries, de-escalating tensions, and resolving conflicting stakeholder interests and positions by building consensus, maintaining organisational interests, and reaching effective resolutions while keeping the relationship intact and the messaging accurate.
By the end of the course, trainees will be able to plan and develop a content strategy for stakeholder engagement, create and structure persuasive content for different stakeholder contexts and formats, and manage conflict professionally so engagements stay constructive and on message.
