Mobile Smartphone (iPhone & Android) Videography for Business and Marketing
About This Course
Most people who record video on a phone are capturing, not producing.
There is a real difference between pressing record and executing a planned, technically controlled shot, and this course closes that gap for professional business and marketing video. Professional video production requires the same core disciplines regardless of the camera: controlled framing, deliberate exposure, intentional movement, structured shot execution, and coordinated teamwork. Developing them on the smartphone, in the conditions businesses actually film in, builds a production instinct that transfers to any camera system.
This course builds the capability to run a smartphone camera as a complete production operation, from technical setup through on-set execution to footage handoff. Trainees operate the device and its rig for video, native and professional apps, cages, gimbals, tripods, microphones, and lighting, set frame rate, resolution, white balance, and exposure deliberately, and inspect and verify every system against a pre-shoot checklist before filming begins. Trainees frame and compose video sequences with intention, control exposure and camera movement, and adjust for changing light, audio, and location conditions.
Trainees then put these disciplines into production operations end to end: interpreting a shot plan and its technical and continuity requirements, producing the production documentation that keeps a marketing shoot organised, running the on-set workflow from pre-production check through filming to footage review, and coordinating the execution of production operations with a small production team to capture a structured, multi-shot sequence to specification.
By the end of the course, trainees will be able to operate a smartphone camera through a full production workflow and deliver footage for business and marketing use that meets professional aesthetic and technical standards.
