About This Course
The purpose of this course is to enable Security Officers and Auxiliary Police Officers to acquire the fundamental knowledge and be equipped with the application skills to deter undesired outcomes when on duty at protected areas and protected places.
This course is designed to enhance knowledge and abilities of officers on Infrastructure Protection Act 2017 which includes:
a) Interpretations of section in Infrastructure Protection Act 2017
b) Powers of inspection at 'surrounding areas' of Protected Areas and Protected Places
c) Powers over photography and UAV
d) Guidelines on Move-On Order

Entry Requirements
Target Audience
Personnel performing the role of Auxiliary Police Officer (APO) and Auxiliary Police Officer (Enforcement) (APOE) and Security Officer
Entry Requirements
Learners must;
• Be able to read, write and speak English at WPL Level 4
• Be able to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
• Be able to act in a professional manner
• Be able to observe confidently
• Be vigilant at all times
Nationality
Singapore Citizens, Malaysian Citizens who are Singapore Permanent Residents or Malaysian holders of Work Permits or Employment Passes.
Age
The minimum entry age for an APO and Security Officer shall be 18 years old at the time of application and the maximum age shall be 60 years old.
Physical and Medical Requirement
• Certified by a medical doctor to be physically fit for work
• Not be colour-blind or hearing impaired
Education Qualifications
• The minimum entry educational qualification for Auxiliary Police Officers and APO (Enforcement) shall be 3 GCE
