A1 - Check and ensure that equipment for crowd and traffic control is signed out and in good working condition
A2 - Ensure that clear lines of demarcation and signage for crowd and traffic control areas are set up
A3 - Monitor crowd behaviour and maintain order throughout the assigned events
A4 - Use appropriate actions to handle difficult crowd during situations
A5 - Use appropriate hand signals to control vehicle entry and exit at correct positions of road junctions
A6 - Manage vehicle accidents and incidents through prescribed procedures
A7 - Handle problems in a professional and confident manner using effective communication skills and traffic rules and signals guidelines
A8 - Facilitate smooth traffic flow and take actions against errant drivers or other parking offences
A9 - Seek assistance from supervisors or appropriate authorities when encountering problems during crowd and traffic control
A10 - Disperse crowd and traffic in an orderly manner at the end of assigned events
Entry Requirements
Qualification:
• The minimum entry educational qualification for Auxiliary Police Officers and APO (Enforcement) below the rank of Auxiliary Police Inspector shall be 3 GCE ‘N” Level credits, 3 SPM Credits, NITEC or their equivalent.
• The minimum entry educational qualification for Security Officer shall be 3 GCE ‘N” Level credits, 3 SPM Credits, NITEC or their equivalent and have completed the Basic Licensing Unit.
Nationality:
Singapore Citizens, Malaysian Citizens who are Singapore Permanent Residents or Malaysian holders of Work Permits or Employment Passes.
Physical and Medical Requirement:
• Certified by a medical doctor to be physically fit for work
• Not be colour-blind or hearing impaired
Entry Requirements:
• Be able to read, write and speak English at WPL Level 4
• Be able to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
• Be able to act in a professional manner
