About This Course
This TSC Unit aims to enable Security Officers to acquire the fundamental knowledge and be equipped with the abilities to provide executive protection services. This TSC unit is designed to focus on building learners' competency in identifying risks and threats for protection factors on escorted persons. Learners will be able to apply appropriate responses to safeguard the safety of the escorted persons.

Unit 1 - Relevant Requirements for Executive Protections
K1 - Organisational procedures for protection of escorted persons or groups.
K3 - Relevant legal requirements relating to the protection of the escorted person.
Unit 2- Preparation and Planning of Escort
A1 - Obtain and clarify necessary protective assignment details and itineraries from appropriate persons.
A2 - Prepare and arrange for standard equipment necessary for protection duties.
Unit 3 - Risk and Threat Assessment
K5 - Organisational procedures for arranging vehicles for escorted persons.
K2 - Types of risks and threats for protection factors affecting safety and integrity of escorted persons.
A3 - Carry out preliminary site surveys and security threat assessments on escorted persons according to organisational procedures.
Unit 4 - Mitigate Risk and Threat
K4 - Types of issues and situations during protection duties.
A4 - Identify immediate threats and risks and apply appropriate responses to the changing environment throughout assignments.
Unit 5 - Conduct Protection Surveillance
K6 - Surveillance procedures.
A5 - Carry out appropriate actions during situations according to organisational procedures.
A6 - Communicate and inform appropriate authorities during situations.
Unit 6 - Observe and Protect Principal
K7 - Types of crowd management methods for protection of escorted persons or groups.
A7 - Protect and ensure the safety of escorted persons at assigned locations.
Entry Requirements
Target Audience
Personnel performing the role of Auxiliary Police Officer (APO) and Auxiliary Police Officer (Enforcement) (APOE) and Security Officer.
Entry Requirements
• Be able to read, write and speak English at WPL Level 4
• Be able to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
• Be able to act in a professional manner
• Be able to observe confidently
• Be vigilant at all times
Nationality
Singapore Citizens, Malaysian Citizens who are Singapore Permanent, holders of Work Permits or Employment Passes.
Age
The minimum entry age for learners shall be 18 years old at the time of application and the maximum age shall be 70 years old.
Physical and Medical Requirement
• Certified by a medical doctor to be physically fit for work
• Not be colour-blind or hearing impaired
Education Qualifications
The minimum entry educational qualification for learners shall be 3 GCE ‘N” Level credits, 3 SPM Credits, NITEC or their equivalent.
