What You'll Learn

LO1: Gather information of children’s learning from stakeholders (A3, A6, A7)

LO2: List the methods for recording the observations of children's behaviour during routines and activities (K3)

LO3: Describe behaviour management strategies (K2)

LO4: Maintain that the identities of children and their family members or caregivers are kept confidential (A5)

LO5: Describe the Confidentiality principles and protocols (K5)

LO6: Apply appropriate techniques to observe and document children’s learning and behaviours. (A1)

LO7: Describe the purpose and benefits of observation and documentation of children’s learning (K1)

LO8: Assist the planning and promote activities based on the child’s interest and goals in the Individualised Education Plan (IEP). (A2)

LO9: Deliver classroom management strategies to create a conducive to routine or activity-based teaching and learning. (A4)

LO10: Describe classroom management strategies (K4)

Entry Requirements

• Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) & Workplace Literacy Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5

• The entry requirement will be ‘N’ level/’O’ level qualification and above and be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the ES WSQ WPLN level 5/’N’ level

• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (WPN) level 5/’N’ level
