What You'll Learn
LO 2: Describe the challenges in identifying and serving children with special needs and people involved (A3, K3)
LO 3: Identify the effects of intervention needs on children’s learning and adaptive functioning using well-rounded principles and practices (A2, K4, K5)
LO 4: Apply the suitable assistive technologies and describe the types of assistive technology in interventions (A5, K10)
LO 5: Provide training in working with children with special needs using well-rounded methods (A4, K7, K8, K9)
LO 6: Describe the principles of effective communication and identify strategies to communicate and collaborate with families of children with special needs (A1, K6)
Entry Requirements
-• Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level of GCE ‘N’ level/GCE ’O’ level or equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) & Workplace Literacy Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5
• Existing staff in the early intervention care and education sector with at least 2 years working experience
• For learners from different industry or mid-career changers with at least 2 years of supervisory/team leader role and need to complete the level 2 module of Classroom Management
