About This Course
This course is mandatory for learner who wants to be licenced private investigator and aims to equip learners with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform investigative activities in compliance with legal requirements. This course is also useful for security officers who wish to apply investigative skills at the workplace to enhance their effectiveness in handling various situations or incidences when carrying out security duties and assisting authorities in their investigation when incident occurs.
The course addresses the following performance gaps and prepare the learners on :
- How to interpret job roles and responsibilities of an investigator
- How to comply with legislative requirements when conducting investigative assignments
- How to conduct surveillance
- How to prepare and submit investigation log sheet
- How to give evidence in court
What You'll Learn
While security industry supports the Home Team to protect the environment where we live and work round the clock. However, many of the security officers are not trained in the basic investigation skills of information gathering. When an incident occurs which threatens the safety and lives of the public, the security workforce may not have the necessary skillset to assist the authorities effectively.
