About This Course

The learners will be able to prevent unauthorised entries to protected places and protected areas in a professional manner.
1. Learners will have the knowledge of security safeguards for building under the Infrastructure Protection Act.
2. Learners will be able to manage and refuse entries into the buildings with screening, search, detention and arrest.
3. Learners will be able to detect, deter and stop unauthorized intelligence and suspicious activities surrounding buildings.

What You'll Learn

Perform Security Duties at Protected Areas and Protected Places (also known as PAPP course) will train security officers on the Rules of Engagement while performing security duties within and in the surrounding areas of the protected areas and protected places under the Infrastructure Protection Act.
The learner will also be equipped with the organisational standard operational procedures under the Infrastructure Protection Act (IPA) 2017 with includes the following:
1. Understand IPA and its purpose
2. Manage entries into protected area and protected place
3. Handle suspicious incidents involving person or vehicle at specific area of protected area and protected places
4. Handle suspicious incidents involving unmanned Aerial Vehicles sighted at specific surrounding areas of protected area and protected place.

Entry Requirements

1. Learners must be above the age of 16 at the time of application.
2. No minimum educational entry requirements. However, Learners must meet the required workplace literacy and numeracy level and should possess the relevant assumed skills and knowledge.
