The competencies that learners will acquire through this course are extremely important for professional work to be performed seam-lessly and successfully, as social work involves interaction with clients which can be very diverse with fast changing needs and envi-ronment for social service practitioners. Practitioners must be able to evaluate research findings and trends to sift out the most valid and relevant domain practices to help them in stay effective in their professional duties. It is also important for them to be able to measure the effectiveness of services and programmes rolled out to the sector.
Entry Requirements
• English proficiency level equivalent to Grade C6 of GCE ‘O’ Level English or Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5.
• Numeracy skills at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5.
• Basic Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills.
