About This Course
At the end of this course, learner shall be able to have the knowledge and application skills in providing supervision to his officers and be able to apply them at the workplace efficiently & effectively and take appropriate actions to ensure premises & stakeholders are well protected.
The learning outcomes for each of the learning units in Berjaya’s HSIS course:
Learning unit 1: Respond and report an incident.
LO1: Learners would be able to respond effectively to incidents and report accurately using mobile devices.
Learning Unit 2: Handling and controlling a fire-related incident.
LO2: Learners would be able to control fire-related incidents appropriately using fire extinguisher where necessary.
Learning Unit 3: Handle and manage a crime-related incident.
LO3: Learners would be able to manage crime-related incidents, secure and preserve crime scenes, and communicate effectively with authorities.
Learning Unit 4: Manage risk of injury and assist medical personnel.
LO4: Learners would be able to manage crowd control, assess and manage risk and injuries, provide medical assistance to medical personnel, and communicate effectively with medical personnel.
Learning Unit 5: Respond to a bomb threat and IED Incident.
LO5: Learners would be able to participate in evacuation plans and coordinate with relevant authorities during a bomb threat incident.
Learning Unit 6: Conduct citizen arrest.
LO6: Learners would be able to respond to alleged offences and report incidents using mobile interface and technology in accordance with organizational procedures.
Learning Unit 7: Providing evidence in court.
LO7: Learners would be able to assist and prepare evidence with relevant stakeholders required in court.

Entry Requirements
This course is designed primarily for the training of all personnel performing the role of a security officer or an auxiliary officer.
The profile of the target learners:
1. New entrants to the security guarding sector;
2. Individuals who are required to complete this course as a requirement for deployment to the site;
3. Matured workers and retirees re-joining the workforce;
4. Individuals opting for a career switch to the security guarding sector.
The target learners are assumed to:
1. Be able to read, write and speak English at WSQ WPL Level 4
2. Be able to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
3. Act in a professional manner
4. Observe confidentiality
5. Be truthful and honest
6. Have sense of duty and responsibility on the job
7. Be disciplined and able to follow instructions when given
8. Be vigilant at all times
