About This Course
Upon successful completion of the course, the trainee will be able to perform the following specific tasks:
• Describe the fundamental networking models such as OSI and TCP/IP
• Familiarity with different networking topologies such as bus, mesh, star, etc.
• Understand and able to perform network addressing such as IPv4
• The difference between TCP and UDP and their use cases
• Familiarity with the various application layer protocols such as DNS and HTTP
• Describe the structure of a network packet and how are they delivered on the Internet
• Demonstrate knowledge of internet infrastructure and the routing protocols
• Fundamentals of cryptography and secure messaging
• Perform basic network monitoring using tools like Wireshark etc.
