About This Course
• LO1 Interpret the values and principles of Agile methodologies
• LO2 Examine the type of tools and techniques for programming within the Scrum team
• LO3 Examine the user stories methodologies and Planning Poker tool for prioritising and estimating value in software development
• LO4 Suggest new software components or features to refine and redefine the user stories as per change requirements
• LO5 Review the syntax and structures of commonly-used programming languages and the corresponding Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for effective software development
• LO6 Suggest specific development areas and actionable feedback for the Agile software development team during sprint planning sessions
• LO7 Organise daily briefings for Agile software development team to provide clarity of Agile practices, processes, immediate tasks and goals within a sprint to effectively manage and contribute to Agile-driven projects
• LO8 Identify standards and protocols in Agile software development
• LO9 Facilitate feedback sessions to examine software tests and processes such as TDD and BDD (Test Driven Development and Behaviour Driven Development) and their purpose to improve Agile team performance in software development
• LO10 Examine debugging tools and techniques to enhance the overall quality of the software
• LO11 Merge code change or branch into a code repository to improve functionality of the software
• LO12 Schedule Agile meetings with relevant stakeholders to examine the applicability of scaling Scrum methodologies in large and complex projects
• LO13 Identify repetitive and routine tasks within the software development process that can be automated by leveraging reusable components to streamline efficiency and heighten productivity

Entry Requirements
• 21 years and above
• Possess minimally a Diploma Level and/or listen, speak, read, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5
• Use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5
• Minimum 1 year of working experience
In the event if learners did not meet the prerequisite, they will be invited for an interview by the Operations Manager / Training Manager (via in person, audio / video call) and advised on suitable courses (e.g. advise learners to take up suitable English course) that they could undertake to improve their ability to fit into this course.
