About This Course
This course equips learners with ESG knowledge and abilities to successfully apply and integrate sustainability within the organisation in line with SGX and MAS requirements.
It covers the technical skills and knowledge on how to provide governance, strategies, risk management, metrics and targets for a successful sustainability program for stakeholders and to manage it on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that the sustainability goals are integrated and achieved. This course enables an organization to achieve its sustainability objective by ensuring information and related technologies are used responsibly and any threat to them is adequately addressed.
What You'll Learn
• LO2 Review and endorse engineering solutions and systems into business strategies to maximize value creation for sustainability
• LO3 Assess the current public policy and trends in sustainable engineering, environment and energy management including Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions
• LO4 Determine the economics of environmental risks and impact on various stakeholders
• LO5 Develop organisational offerings and strategies benchmarked to industry best practices and current trends in sustainability
• LO6 Recommend sustainable solutions for societies and communities using Social Return on Investment (SROI) and other widely used Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rating
• LO7 Evaluate the ecological impact of key sustainability risk and policy on environment
• LO8 Provide engineering expert advice to ensure organisational compliance to existing codes of practice, regulations and standards for sustainability
• LO9 Suggest sustainable solutions including carbon reduction strategies and life cycle assessment to enhance market competitiveness, ecological and communal benefits
Entry Requirements
• 21 years and above
• Possess minimally a Diploma Level and/or listen, speak, read, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 6
• Use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 6
• Minimum 1 year of working experience
• In the event if learners did not meet the prerequisite, they will be invited for an interview by the Operations Manager / Training Manager (via in person, audio / video call) and advised on suitable courses (e.g. advise learners to take up suitable English course) that they could undertake to improve their ability to fit into this course
