About This Course
MOH and the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) has embarked on a job redesign initiative to attract, develop, and retain support care staff for the Community Care sector. These support care staff are not trained licensed healthcare professionals and hence will require appropriate training to induct them into the sector. They can also look forward to employment opportunities in the Community Care sector with excellent opportunities for career advancement.
What You'll Learn
2. Gain a good grasp of healthcare procedures, which are critical to perform care work well.
3. Be able to provide strong support in patients’ activities of daily living, which is critical in patients’ recovery journey.
4. Be able to provide strong support in clinical procedures, which is critical in patients’ recovery journey.
5. Be familiar with organisation’s SOPs and assist patients with efficiency.
Entry Requirements
This course targets HCWs in the healthcare industry or workers wishing to enter the industry with following criteria:
• without prior knowledge and skills on mobility and ambulation assistance
• who require some form of refresher or re-assessment of competency.
- Language and literacy proficiency level: Work Place Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4
- Target Age Group: Age 16 and above
- Prerequisite skills and knowledge: NIL Prerequisite
- Required years of experience in relevant domain: Nil Experience needed
- Minimum education level: GCE N level (3 subject passes including English)
