About This Course

Many educators and learning professionals have already experimented with simple AI uses such as drafting, summarising, or generating first-pass ideas. This CPD is designed for the next step: using AI to produce more substantial learning-work assets that can support adult education practice. The emphasis is on practical, no-code or low-code educator workflows rather than software development.

Participants work with examples such as research packs for lessons and activities, AI-generated images, audio or video concepts, visual explainers, data artefacts, resource transformation workflows, and simple AI-enabled mini-apps or no-code tools. The focus is on creating useful assets for learning contexts, not on generic prompt-engineering exercises.

The course is deliberately tool-agnostic and future-ready. Instead of locking participants into one platform or media tool, it introduces adaptable workflows for researching, creating, prototyping, checking, and organising outputs. Participants consider brand expectations, accessibility, data privacy, institutional guidelines, and human review as part of the workflow.

Participants leave with a practical portfolio that can be adapted for their own education, training, facilitation, or learning development context. They also build readiness for W3, where AI-supported resources and workflows can be integrated into more rigorous lesson design.

What You'll Learn

This one-day Basic CPD helps adult educators, trainers, facilitators, and learning developers move beyond basic AI prompting into practical AI-enabled learning production.

Participants will use AI to research and synthesise source material for lessons and activities, create multimodal learning assets such as visuals, audio, video concepts, diagrams, infographics, or data artefacts, and prototype a simple custom tool or AI-generated mini-app for a defined learning-work problem.

The course emphasises responsible and purposeful AI use. Participants will consider data privacy, accessibility, brand alignment, source quality, and human judgement as they create outputs for professional use. They will also organise selected outputs into a shared knowledge hub or reusable workflow structure for team practice.

By the end of the course, participants will submit an AI-Enhanced Learning Resource and Workflow Prototype Portfolio through Google Classroom. This may include a research synthesis artefact, a multimodal learning asset, a simple custom tool or mini-app prototype, a shared hub entry, and a short reflection on workflow impact.

Through these objectives, this course supports ADAPT Basic-level growth across Resource Selection & Curation (D3.3), Resource Creation (D3.4), Accessibility & Sustainability (D3.6), Ethical Data Use (D2.4), Collaboration & Networking (D4.1), Professional Learning & Growth (D4.2), Reflection & Leadership (D4.3), and Ethical Engagement (D4.4), by requiring participants to create and organise AI-supported learning artefacts for real work contexts. Building on the responsible-AI foundations of AI Practice Studio (W1) in the IAL-AISG (ADAPT) Certification Programme, it prepares participants for the more rigorous lesson design introduced in later courses.

Entry Requirements

• Adult educators, trainers, and facilitators who want to use AI to prepare richer lesson material, activity resources, visual prompts, learner aids, or media-supported learning experiences.

• Learning designers and instructional designers who need to create, adapt, and organise multimodal learning resources while maintaining quality, accessibility, and organisational standards.

• L&D professionals, training coordinators, and programme teams who want to use AI to produce reusable resource packs, team workflow templates, media assets, and simple AI-supported tools.

• Subject matter experts involved in developing course materials, workplace learning resources, examples, scenarios, or activity content for adult learners.

• Managers or team leads in learning functions who want to understand how AI can support team-level resource creation, workflow improvement, and responsible knowledge sharing.
