About This Course
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Security Sector
A. Operate access control equipment
1. Identify the pedestrian and vehicle access points of entry and exit for different l evels of authorised entries
2. Operate access control equipment in accordance with organisation procedures 3. Manage the particulars of authorised personnel and vehicles when activating ca rd access systems and handling visitor pattern analysis, biometric and number pla te recognition systems
4. Complete the relevant documentation relating to access control operations
B. Operate alarm monitoring equipment
5. Operate alarm monitoring equipment according to organisation procedures
6. Identify and report unauthorised entry and intrusion locations based on visitor p attern analysis and incident reporting procedures
7. Carry out basic troubleshooting and report access control equipment faults
C. Operate CCTV monitoring equipment
8. Operate closed-circuit television equipment in compliance with individual role and responsibilities as well as organisation procedures
9. Recognise prohibited and hazardous items and activities
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
• Job roles and occupations: existing and aspiring security officers
• Assumed attitudes, skills, knowledge: basic understanding of the organisation’s core values, service offering and SOPs, sense of duty, responsibility and discipline on the job
• Physical and medical requirement: able-bodied to work as a Security Officer and not colour-blind or hearing impaired
• Age and work experience: between 25 to 65 years old with a basic orientation to wards providing security services; able to apply knowledge of basic workplace safety and health
• Education: at least primary school education
