Deterrence (Perform Security Duties at Protected Areas and Protected Places)
About This Course
Learners will be able to attain knowledge and capabilities to identify and manage security incidents involving suspicious activities, vehicles or intelligence gathering efficiently and effectively at protected areas and protected places.

Entry Requirements
Learners should have a basic understanding of the organisation's vision, mission and values, service offering, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and understand the need for enhanced security at Protected Areas and Protected Places.
Learners are also assumed to:
- have a sense of duty and responsibility on the job
- be disciplined and able to follow instructions given
Learners are expected to be between 21 and 65 years of age and come from a diverse background. Most of them should have a basic orientation towards providing security services and already have some working experience. A minority of the learners may be new to the industry or are considering a position in the industry.
Learners should be able to listen to, speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3; and
- Use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3.
