Creating an IFC-SG Model from Revit for CORENET X Submission
About This Course
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
• LO1. Identify the transformational benefits of CORENET X to the industry
• LO2. Explain the purpose of all files within the IFC-SG starter kit
• LO3. Extract the relevant information from IFC-SG mapping table for submissions to various authorities 
• LO4. Embed relevant IFC-SG information into a Revit model manually using Revit’s default IFC feature
• LO5. Embed relevant IFC-SG information into a Revit model using Revit’s BIM interoperability tool with IFC-SG configurator files
• LO6. Check and modify georeferencing of existing model to meet requirements for CORENET X submission
• LO7. Export a Revit model to IFC-SG
• LO8. Modify the IFC configuration files
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
• At least a diploma in architecture, mechanical and electrical, green building & sustainability, mechatronics civil, structural engineering, aerospace engineering, landscape architecture, interior design, sustainable urban design and engineering, or any built-environment related course
• English language proficiency at GCE ‘O’ level of C6 and above, or WSQ Workplace Literacy skills of Level 6 and above
• Proficient with the use of a Windows-based computer for work.
• Completed Projects-based BIM Revit Basic and Documentation Training or equivalent.
• No prior working experience required*
*Learners who do not qualify in terms of education but have at least one year working experience in the Built Environment will be admitted on a case-by-case basis.
