Thought Leader with Google AI: Building Your Educator Brand and Professional Presence
About This Course
Educators hold deep expertise that too often stays invisible beyond their own classrooms. This advanced course helps participants build an authentic professional presence and contribute credibly to educator communities using AI-enhanced content and engagement strategies. Participants define their Educator DNA, create AI-assisted professional content, develop sustainable audience-engagement strategies, and design portfolios aligned to their genuine expertise and workplace practice, on platforms such as LinkedIn.
What makes this course distinctive is its emphasis on authenticity over self-promotion: AI is used to articulate and amplify real expertise, not manufacture it. It reframes branding as a disciplined form of professional contribution, not image management. Through reflective activity, collaborative critique, and practical prototyping, participants leave able to apply AI-enhanced professional branding and community-participation strategies confidently, establishing thought leadership and a professional identity that reflects who they truly are as educators.
What You'll Learn
Anchored in IAL's ADAPT framework, with Wenger's Communities of Practice as a supporting lens, participants explore how professional identity develops through participation, engagement, and collaboration within educator communities.
Using Google AI tools such as Gemini and NotebookLM, participants surface professional insights, refine their educator narrative, generate content ideas, and create resources that communicate their expertise effectively. They leave with a professional identity statement, audience engagement strategy, content calendar, portfolio concept, and an AI-enhanced educator brand blueprint ready for implementation.
This course is part of the IAL-Google (ADAPT) Certification Programme, Movement 3: "I can change this." Participants earn the AI Thought Leader capability, enabling them to articulate a compelling professional identity, build sustainable influence within educator communities, and use AI to amplify their voice beyond the training room.
The course develops Advanced-level proficiency in Professional Engagement (ADAPT Domain 4), covering Collaboration & Networking (4.1), Professional Learning & Growth (4.2), Reflection & Leadership (4.3), and Ethical Engagement (4.4), while drawing on Resource Creation (3.4) to produce AI-enhanced professional content. It builds on Experience Designer (W4) and prepares participants for System Builder (W6), demonstrating how each course advances ADAPT proficiency as an adult educator.
