About This Course
The course is aimed to groom workplace-ready culinarians with industry relevant skills. HCSA mainly serves the vulnerable in the society by training them with a life skill which will lead to a career. Many of our potential candidates, like single mothers, are not able to commit for the full time WSQ Higher Certificate course we run. Our goal is to offer flexible learning options for such interested candidates.
What You'll Learn
Upon successful completion of this module, the learners will be able to demonstrate skills in preparing equipment and ingredients and making them ready for cooking. This includes;
• assembling cooking tools and equipment
• weighing and measuring ingredients
• preparing pans
• preparing dried, frozen and concentrated products for use
• re-instating the kitchen facilities etc.
The techniques of preparing equipment and ingredients will be trained in the context of western and/ or Asian cuisines.
