About This Course
Globalisation, stakeholder management, collaboration, diversity and achieving more with less are the key themes in today’s business. Leaders who are already familiar with coaching at the individual level will find this team leadership programme very beneficial. There is a growing need to move from one-on-one conversation to having the ability to coach teams or groups.
The objective of this course is to equip the learner with the competencies in stakeholder management, to communicate effectively with clients and the teams to achieve organisational goals. The ability to inspire team vision, recognise team dynamics, inculcate learning and growth are key to effective performance management.
Team coaching is an essential skill for leaders and managers to demonstrate care for their employees and community at large. By caring for their team members, organisation will see a significant improvement in performance and employee well-being. Coaching has become a strategic Human Resource (HR) initiative for employee engagement management and among the top priority skills in the fast-growing Care Economy.
What You'll Learn
There are four broad learning outcomes for this team coaching module:
1. To contract with key stakeholders to establish strategic goals.
Participants will learn the key aspects of Team Leadership and the Team Coaching model. They will be able to establish contractual agreement of expected outcomes and engage with key stakeholders to understand strategic goals and challenges and demonstrate effective client communication.
2. To co-create team plans and assess organisational opportunities and risks.
Participants will be able to conduct team diagnostics to identify potential gaps within the organisation. They will apply the skills to co-create team plans to achieve performance targets and manage potential risk.
3. To connect with teams and improve team dynamics and performance.
Participants will demonstrate their ability to manage team dynamics with team leaders and members. They will acquire the skills to build psychological safety in teams, evoke team awareness through sharing of observations and feedback, and manage conflict.
4. To cultivate learning and growth within teams through managing progress, accountability, and rewards.
Participants will acquire the team coaching skills to design action plans and allocate resource to enable team learning and growth. They will demonstrate their ability to manage progress and accountability to achieve team results as part of performance management and talent management.
Entry Requirements
This programme is targeted at formal and informal leaders with at least 5 years of work experience and/or at least one year of supervisory experience in an organisation. Participants are expected to be fluent in spoken and written English, preferably with a Diploma or above level qualification.
